Tiffany
Reynolds
Tiffany Reynolds moved to Ferry County after growing up in the Alaskan bush country. She, her husband, her five children and countless animals make up the Reynolds frontier home. While schooling her children and maintaining her family’s home farm, Tiffany’s hands are always moving; she crochets. She crochets and hand felts beautifully colored hats, backpacks and bags and has recently discovered how to make her passion work for her family in an economically sound way. Realizing the time it takes to crochet individual pieces and how valuable her time is to her family, Tiffany decided to take the Stone Soup BEST (Business Enterprise Success Training) Class to help her determine her most feasible route to success. Using technology to bridge the divide between her frontier community and the buying market, the knowledge she gained from the BEST Class and its continuing support network, Tiffany has built and developed her business, Talitha Cumi Co. Now, almost a year later, Tiffany has created a pattern line that has been picked up by a national yarn dealer (with yarn sponsorship) and has published her patterns in fiber arts publications in addition to profiting from retail sales in markets as remote as her frontier home in Fairbanks Alaska and even New York City. She continues to build her customer base and expects to quadruple it by the end of next year. The Reynolds family income has increased by 5% in the first year, her children are able to participate in a creative family business venture and Tiffany continues to occupy her always busy hands with a sound business to add even more value to their creative productivity.
